ACH Error R67 - What is this?
ACH code R67 is a standard return code in the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system that indicates that the account number provided in an ACH transaction is invalid. This means the account number provided does not match any account on record at the receiving financial institution.
When an ACH transaction is processed and the account number is found invalid, the transaction is returned to the originating financial institution with the R67 code. The originating financial institution must then investigate and correct the account number before resubmitting the transaction.
Ensuring that the account number provided in an ACH transaction is accurate and up-to-date is essential to avoid receiving an R67 code and potentially delaying the transaction.
